Wado Academy Courses

The Wado Academy holds two main association events that brings students from around the UK and abroad. The Winter Course is held in February and the Summer Course is usually held towards the end of July.

Every two years the head of Wado Ryu Renmei, the son of the original founder, Hironori Ohtsuka II comes to the UK and Europe to teach at the Winter Course.

There are other training courses held at most of the clubs belonging to the Wado Academy and students are welcome to visit other clubs for these courses or to train in their normal lessons.

The Wado Academy also holds squad training sessions for those that want to train in the sporting side of karate, with the opportunity to represent the association at national and international levels.

Winter course instructors

The larger Winter and Summer Courses gives access to top quality instruction of course but also are also a great opportunity to meet new friends, reconnect with old friends and to have a good time. They are there to enable you to concentrate on your karate, push yourself in your training and seek help on your technique.

They are vital for anyone wishing to progress up the grading ladder.

As you can see from the photograph below, the training can also be fun.
